Day 1
Los Angeles, California
Start the day right with a sightseeing tour. Venice Beach has white sands, glistening sea & the best people-watching in the world, so keep your eyes peeled for the kookiest of Los Angelenos in their natural habitat. Santa Monica brings bright colours with vibrant murals, café-lined streets, & the iconic Santa Monica pier, while Beverly Hills is all about bling & looking beautiful & Hollywood? Well it needs no introduction.

Day 2
Los Angeles
Whether you spend your day getting up close & personal with the characters you loved as a kid at Disneyland, seeking those thrills at Universal Studios, or spying on celebrity mega-mansions on a Movie Star homes tour, LA will leave you starry-eyed. Stroll the Walk of Fame & see the handprints of the rich &famous at the Chinese Theatre, or get cultured at The Getty Centre. You could spend weeks working your way through this vast city – your challenge is to nail it in a day.

Day 3
Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Nevada
Dodge the cacti & the critters as you drive across the Mojave desert, bound for the glitter of Las Vegas. Arrive to a driving tour of the Strip & go around the world, ‘Vegas-style’ to see the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, the New York City skyline & Venice’s St. Mark’s Square. Then when sun sets, board the bus & do what Vegas does best — parties.

Day 4
Las Vegas
Anything goes in Vegas. You could go high with a heli-tour over the Strip or a ride the High Roller Observation Wheel, if you feel the need for speed, get your go-karting on. You can even go to a heavy equipment playground & drive a bulldozer around. Just remember to save some energy for a nightclub crawl amongst the bright lights & sights.

Day 5
Las Vegas (Day trip to Grand Canyon)
Slow the pace, take in the air & soak in a few billion years of rock history with a daytrip to the Grand Canyon. If you take the chopper tour, you’ll get a 360° view of the jaw-dropping scenery, or you could stay grounded, but feel smug for hiking the rim to see some equally awesome vistas.

Day 6
Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe
As the saying goes, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, so leave it all behind & settle in for the drive to Lake Tahoe. Go from open desert to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada, to North America’s largest alpine lake, all before dinner.

Day 7
Lake Tahoe to San Francisco, California
Wake up to a morning at the lake. If the mercury is high, you could choose to dip into the lake with a swim, or ride it with some watersports. Then again, you could stay dry & stretch your legs with a hike or mountain bike ride to see the lake from on high. If there’s snow on the ground & longjohns in your bag, there’s no need to hole up inside, you can ice skate, go tubing or take a scenic gondola ride before jumping on the coach to San Francisco.

Day 8
San Francisco
Hello San Fran! As you take a city tour of SF you’ll stroll the Golden Gate Bridge, spot ‘The Rock’ that is Alcatraz & hit up North Beach & Chinatown. No tour would be complete without having a honking welcome from the sea lions of Fisherman’s Wharf, just be sure to stand upwind.

Day 9
San Francisco
Today, you’re free to roam. Trolley rides & pitting yourself against the incline of Lombard Street would be our picks. If you’re looking to hop over to Alcatraz to hear the stories of Al Capone & the other notorious inmates, be sure to book. Then when you escape the ‘escape-proof’ island, finish your day with a sunset catamaran cruise.

Day 10
San Francisco to New York City
Time to say goodbye to San Fran & leave behind the Painted Ladies & pier-side chowder, but no sad faces here as you say ‘how you doin’?’ to The Big Apple.

Day 11
New York City
New York will knock your socks off – whether you’re seeing it from land, water or air – there’s no doubt. See all the super-sized skyscrapers from the water on a NY harbour cruise & from an altogether different angle at the One World Tower. Plus, NYC is super-easy to get around, thanks to the subway. You’ll have a 7-day pass to go subterranean & get exploring for the rest of the afternoon.

Day 12
New York City
Riding the subway & wandering your way around the wildly different neighbourhoods of the city is a great way to see the place – the yellow cabs whizz by, the smell of the sidewalk pretzel stands waft your way & the whole place feels like one big movie set – but you can’t beat seeing NYC from the air. Take a heli-tour for the best photos & memories possible, then refuel with a Brooklyn pizza tour, it’s a buzzing neighbourhood with understandably world-famous food.

New York City
By now you’ll know that this truly is the city that doesn’t sleep, so you could slow the pace with an optional bike tour of Central Park. Or keep pounding the pavements to mingle with the hipsters in Williamsburg, kill it at karaoke in the East Village, take to the batting cages at Randall’s Island, tag yourself in Times Square…the list is limitless.
